For: the population of researchers who have already established themselves as being independent research leaders in their own right and who would like to pursue frontier research of their choice.

Meeting about funding: Vidi

Researchers who have completed their doctorates with a maximum of 8 years (calculated from the date on which the doctorate was formally awarded to the deadline for the relevant round of Vidi grant applications). From 1 January 2009 professors may compete for Vidi funding.
